Femoral Length and Deformity Correction

This 39 year old man presented to the MLLC with left knee pain, low back pain, and a limp, all related to fractures of the left femur and both tibias that occurred in a motorcycle accident 20 years earlier.

The angulation and shortening in his femur were simultaneously corrected with circular external fixation.

His knee and back pain and his limp were all relieved by the treatment, which lasted 6 months.
