Knee Osteotomies

Acute Opening Wedge Distractional Osteotomy
in the Oblique Plain

This patient sustained severe ligament damage to his knee, which rapidly caused degenerative arthritis and subluxation of the knee. The x-ray on the left and the photograph on the right show posterior subluxation of the tibia on the femur.

The frontal x-ray and photograph show bowing deformity of the knee. The arrow illustrates
how the majority of the weight goes through the arthritic side of the knee.

Postoperative x-ray shows improved alignment and resolution of the subluxation of the knee.
