Bilateral Tibial Blounts Correction

Andre presented at age seven with severe deformities of both tibias as a result of Blount's Disease, also known as Tibia Vara.

The x-ray and photo above show his legs while in the external fixators one week and seven weeks after surgery. You'll note the hinge points allowed gradual correction of the deformities and that walking was possible several weeks after the surgery.

The photo shows a striking improvement after the correction.
